Orbit Reveal
Circle a subject to reveal what's behind or around them.
A. What It Creates
A rotating reveal shot - common in product and travel content - that builds anticipation.

C. Shooting Instructions
- 01Pick a fixed pivot point (the subject) and walk a circle around it at a constant radius - mark the radius with your eye, not a tape measure.
- 02Keep the subject in the same third of the frame throughout the orbit, not dead center, for a more dynamic composition.
- 03Maintain constant walking speed; speeding up mid-orbit is the most common way this shot falls apart.
- 0460fps gives you the option to slow the orbit slightly in post if your real-time pace was uneven.
Environment
Anywhere with a clear single subject and walkable space around it.
Camera Movement
A full or partial circular walk around a fixed subject, camera always pointed inward.
Timing
Even, diffused light avoids the subject swinging in and out of harsh shadow mid-orbit.
Lighting
Avoid single hard light sources (like direct sun) which create a bright/dark side during the circle.
D. Example Scenarios
Person standing in a landscape
Start the orbit with their back to camera, end facing camera.
Product reveal on a table
Lower the camera to product height, not eye height.
E. Expected Result vs. Common Mistakes
Expected Output
A continuous, evenly-paced circular shot with the subject consistently framed.
Common Mistakes
- — Orbiting too fast - HyperSmooth can't fully erase the visible bounce of a fast circular walk.
- — Letting the radius drift wider or narrower mid-shot - breaks the consistent framing the shot depends on.

G. Checklist Before Recording
- — Lens set to Wide
- — 4K at 60 fps
- — Stabilization: HyperSmooth 6.0 - AutoBoost
- — Color profile: GP-Log
H. Pro Tips
- — Practice the path with a chalk mark or visual landmark (a tree, a line in the pavement) before rolling.
I. Export Recommendation
Speed-ramp slightly at the start/end in post for a more polished feel.
